CCOC Motto * Preservation and Restoration *

We at Captivated by Crosley are excited to announce our partnership with the Crosley Car Owners Club (CCOC). Our mission is to promote the Crosley brand and help keep these iconic cars on the road - and we’re proud to align with an organization that shares a deep commitment to their preservation and restoration.

History of the Crosley Car Owners Club

The CCOC was founded in early 1952 by George Drum of Charlotte, NC, and Edward Herzog of Elmont, Long Island, NY, as Crosley automobile production was coming to an end. When the final Crosley rolled off the line on July 3rd, 1952, the CCOC quickly stepped in to preserve remaining parts and even made an ambitious attempt to restart production. While manufacturing did not resume, the club continued as an advocacy group dedicated to supporting Crosley owners and enthusiasts. Among its early members was President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who owned a 1951 Crosley Super Surrey and held membership #1300.

In 2006, the Crosley Car Owners Club was revitalized as a dues-free, web-based organization. Today, the CCOC provides a valuable online space for Crosley owners, fans, and admirers of Powel Crosley’s legacy. The club offers historical information, technical resources, and community support for anyone interested in preserving these unique cars.

Through our partnership with the CCOC, Captivated by Crosley looks forward to continuing the legacy, celebrating the innovation, charm, and resilience of Crosley automobiles while supporting the people who keep them on the road
