1949 Crosley Hot Shot Video

The video presents a brief Crosley history along with highlighting this 1949 Hot Shot. A well-presented video by auto analyst, Rick DeBruhl, is efficiently well-paced. It is fairly comprehensive with its brief overview of other Crosley models as well. Further, it presents a positive historical review of the brand — noting the usual “ahead of its time”…features.

Newport Antique Auto Hill Climb

October 2, 3 and 4, 2026 · Newport, Indiana

2025 Hill Climb run for David Gale with a third place finish in his 1952 CD Sedan named “Ruby”

You'll see a massive display of antique, vintage, steam, brass and classic cars, plus trucks and motorcycles, all pushing up an 1,800-foot hill in timed runs — and a classic car show throughout the town.

Newport, Indiana — population barely 550 — turns into one of the largest festivals in the state every autumn. Cars make their runs from a standing start, and better than 100,000 people turn out to watch.

The first climb was run in 1909, faded away after 1915, and was reborn in 1968 as the Newport Lions Club's major fundraiser. It's now the third-largest motorsports event in Indiana, behind only the Indianapolis 500 and the Brickyard.

When

Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4, 2026
