With a little help from
your Crosley Friends
From time to time… we'll pass on an untested tip we hear about that might save you some $$. Here's one to try. We don't know for sure… but it might be worth pursuing.
Crosley Gas Tank “Work-Around”
(edited slightly for clarity)
On May 4, Greg L., on the Facebook page Crosley Little Cars, commented:
“My gas tank was beyond rotten. The only Crosley tank I could find was $700 and out of stock. The one I found from Amazon is the same size and was $109.00. The next day I did have to move my hole in the floor an inch, and I bent some exhaust pipe to make a filler neck. But I'm super happy with it. I'll get a rubber boot to join the tank to the filler like the original. It's a cheap, ‘easyish’ way to get these cars back on the road.”
Here, here, Greg! Thanks for helping others out with this Crosley gas-tank option!
